About Hex: The Fall of Aethria
A year ago, the Sacred City of Aethria burned. Now, the Emberlands are using the tragedy to seize the realm, targeting the Moorian nomads as their scapegoat. Laíla wants to protect them, but her own body is her greatest enemy: her skin ignites at the slightest intense emotion. It is a volatile affliction she can neither understand nor contain. Banished by her own people for a desperate act of salvation, Laíla must go on the run to avoid capture but ultimately finds herself in the middle of brewing war.
About the Creator:
I'm Janaiah, the artist behind Galleria Heritagio and the creator of Hex: The Fall of Aethria.
I've been inspired by epic stories my entire life. But as entertainment becomes increasingly tech-driven and dominated by major studios and publishers, I've become passionate about creating the kind of slow, human-made art that feels increasingly rare—especially for independent artists building worlds outside the traditional industry system.
I originally wrote Hex simply as my own little world of make-believe. Three years, twenty two scripts, and many iPhone notes later, I've finally begun sharing that world with an audience.
Now, I'm independently producing Hex with the long-term goal of adapting the series into a fully animated production. Pre-production for a 40-minute pilot adapting Chapters 1–7 is officially underway. Ultimately, I want to create something tangible that fans can truly own—including physical DVDs they can keep in perpetuity, just like the good old days.
