“Hey I’m Fleeting Violet! I am a singer-songwriter and poet. I am self publishing my first book of poetry which comes out on March 26th.”
It has long been a dream of my mine to create and build around the Fleeting Violet brand. It took me awhile to figure out how I wanted to go about it. Since I can remember, I have been writing lyrics and poetry. Over the years, writing has been my solace, and sharing my writing with others helps me feel connected to the world around me. I have been writing music officially for the last six years and released my first song in 2019. I started learning music production in 2021 and have composed and produced a few songs of my own. In early 2023, the idea of The Seeker (my new poetry book) was created and initially I wanted to share it as an album. Instead, I decided to share my writing as poetry. I love building worlds through my writing by including lush imagery and carefully chosen visuals as an accompaniment.
I would be a great guest because I enjoy talking about the indie artist experience, the creation process, and literary themes. I am extremely hands on with all the work that I do and I am involved in every aspect from design to distribution. I want to connect with interviewers and podcasts that want to discuss these topics to not only connect and have meaningful conversations, but to also hopefully help other artists who are going through the same process as I am.
