About Me

Ella has been immersed in the food industry from a young age and feels that women in the food industry have gained more recognition than those in other industries, with many female entrepreneurs starting food and drink business. However, like any woman running a small business, it can make things tricker for family life as it’s not something you can turn off or handover or find cover for. She hopes to see a conversation shift in her lifetime from “women in business and its challenges,” to “how diversity in people makes for the most prosperous of businesses.”

Ella is the co-founder of FATSO, a rule breaking dark chocolate brand that is all about living life to the fullest, enjoying more, taking that extra bite and not fitting the mould.

Ella can talk about the challenges of building a sustainable business with ethics, that still makes a profit! She is also happy to discuss the role of women in the food industry, her experiences and the difficulties of creating a challenger brand in a very saturated and mature market place.

FATSO is currently stocked in Harvey Nichols, The Conran Shop, Raye and Anthropologie.
