After I was almost murdered pregnant, the head injury I sustained was so severe I started getting seizures and was prescribed opioids. The battered women's shelter turned me away, claiming my injuries were to extensive and it put the other women in the shelter in danger - drug dealers helped me. I eventually got charges and went to prison, I was one of the 1st people to go to prison over the analog substance law. I used art and writing as a way to cope. I now work with state reps to get better bills on the table to protect people -some passed. The same corporations funding the gside and lobbying against liveable wages are profiting of cheap American inmate labor while they traffic our kids in the state.
