Trained as performer - The BRIT School then Guildford School of Acting - discovered I could be a writer. Honed those skills through invited writers' programs at Royal Court, Soho, Bush, and Arcola. Hustling to promote my work, I mastered digital and social media, eventually realising I could offer writing services professionally.
Curiosity for new ways to tell stories combined with storytelling training defines my approach.I explore the LGBTQ+ experience, working class experience. Themes I return to include mental illness, addiction, and trauma. I like research challenges and philosophical topics that make my mind boggle, and then try and ground them in human realities.
I perform too
Alongside writing, I perform, including long-form improvised comedy and solo performance. I also make music and visual art, which enrich my work with a unique perspective. I play long-form improv comedy as a house player at The Free Association, London.
