About Me

In 2004, I founded Xentum because of what happened to my father.

He inherited a significant sum as a young man and faced with choices he had never been taught to navigate. People came into his life offering advice that sounded professional and looked credible. In reality, much of it was thinly veiled selling. The decisions which followed slowly eroded his capital, his confidence, and ultimately his health.

I only came to understand the full picture after he died, whilst sorting through his paperwork. There had been activity, but no stewardship. Advice, but no accountability.

At the time, I was working within a commission-based firm, looking after 600+ clients with almost no ongoing guidance. It was good for my income, but it was the very same model that had failed my father.

So, I left and built the firm I wish he’d had.

Today, Xentum works with two types of families: business owners approaching an exit, and families with significant wealth.

Most of the founders I sit with are not overly concerned about achieving the absolute highest price. Their real concern is making one irreversible mistake, selling too early, too late, or structuring a deal that works on paper but fails in real life. They worry about what happens after the transaction, when the money arrives, but no one has helped them think about what comes next, for them, their family, or their identity.

The families we support post-exit and post-retirement are often facing a different version of the same question: we have enough, now what should it do?

How do we protect it, pass it on without distorting the next generation, and ensure the wealth serves the life, not the other way round?

That is what Xentum exists to do.

We help business owners exit with confidence, knowing the proceeds are sufficient, the risks are understood, and the next chapter has been thoughtfully considered. And we help families who have already crossed that line ensure their wealth and investments remain aligned with what matters most.

We do this through a Fixed Annual Fee. With a simple ambition: to be the clear, accountable, and thoughtful guide my father never had.
