About Me

Dom Einhorn is the founder and CEO of Masters of Trivia, a global edutainment and knowledge platform with over 100,000 quizzes across 17 categories and more than 300,000 monthly players in 196 countries. Founded in 2005, the company was selected for the HundrED Global Collection 2026.

Born in Wissembourg in Alsace and now based in the Texas Hill Country, Dom is a Franco-American entrepreneur who has spent three decades building digital media and technology businesses across Europe and the United States. He speaks six languages, has visited 134 countries, and competed on the European Scrabble and quiz circuits.

Alongside his commercial work, he writes on language, transmission and cultural memory. His essay on the disappearance of Alsatian, his mother tongue, was published by Die Rheinpfalz in 2026, and he has documented surviving German-language communities in Texas through fieldwork and photography. He also writes on the economics of alternative assets, particularly art and wine.

Topics I speak about:

Knowledge, learning and attention. Why knowledge survives through use rather than storage, what quizzes and games reveal about how people actually retain information, and what the attention economy is doing to learning.

How languages live and die. Alsatian went from 91% of speakers in 1946 to 3% of children today. What that collapse teaches about transmission, shame and cultural memory, and why the same mechanism operates in Wales, Texas and everywhere else a language has disappeared.

Building a business across borders. Operating in six languages and multiple markets: what actually differs, what doesn't, and where foreign entrants consistently get it wrong.

AI from the operating side. What changes in a real company when these tools arrive, why the damage shows up in hiring rather than firing, and why verification is becoming the scarce skill.

Alternative assets. Art and wine as investments: how the indices mislead, what the illiquidity really costs, and who actually makes money.

Areas of specialty: digital media and content strategy, edutainment and gamified learning, multilingual market operations, AI adoption in content businesses, alternative asset investment.

Irish rugby does not need more talent. It needs teeth.

A guest piece by Dom Einhorn, responding to Frank Schnittger’s series on the state of Irish rugby heading into the 2027 World Cup. The first lesson I learned as president of a 118-year-old French rugby club is that nobody in rugby ever does the right thing because you asked nicely. Sarlat, in the Dordogne, had survived two world wars, professionalisation, and a century of committee meetings, and every good structural idea I inherited had died the same death: everyone agreed …
