There are a lot of misconceptions about dog behaviour out there, and I love finding creative ways to educate on the topic.

I have a PhD from the University of Melbourne, Australia, focused on canine anxiety. As a veterinarian, I exclusively treat dogs suffering from mental health conditions. These dogs come to me with a wide range of serious behaviour issues like aggression or separation anxiety. Through understanding the root causes of their problems, I provide advice, recommendations and sometimes prescribe medications to help them feel better.

In 2023 I published a book titled "A Dedication To Difficult Dogs", which gives a fresh perspective on canine mental health. The book covers common misconceptions of dog behaviour, demonstrated in an easily digestible story format. I also incorporate dog training philosophy and welfare, to address topics such as punishment and ownership vs guardianship of dogs.

Another hat I wear is as a member of the Delta dog training institute expert advisory committee.

I currently run the website www.abadog.com, which is a dog behaviour advice platform used by veterinarians to provide information for their patients. This platform automatically generates customised dog behaviour advice based on an owner-completed online questionnaire. Used regularly by hundreds of vets in Australia and growing, it is providing a new option in the spectrum of care available to pet owners with troubled dogs.

I regularly speak at veterinary conferences around Australia, present webinars, and have just started seeking podcasting opportunities.
