“AuDHD human. HR professional. Entrepreneur. Animal Lover. Mum. Australian. Helping build workplaces you would want to work in.”
I'm Deb - AuDHD (Autistic and ADHD), late-identified in my 40s, after over 20 years working in human resources. For most of my career, I was the HR professional helping organisations build better, fairer, more human workplaces — without yet knowing that I was doing it, in part, for myself. Once I reached perimenopause, and the title of Head of People & Culture in a workplace, I identified my neurodivergence, with the diagnoses that didn't change who I am, but explained everything.
I hold a Bachelor of Management (Human Resource Management) and a Master of Employment and Labour Relations Law. I know the frameworks, the legislation, the policy levers. But what I bring to conversations is something you can't get from a textbook - the lived experience of navigating workplaces that were never quite designed for a brain like mine, combined with the professional expertise to change them.
I'm interested in talking about neurodivergent people - and the organisations that employ them, in an honest and open way. Because the mask is exhausting, and most of us have been wearing it for far too long.
If you want to talk neurodiversity, inclusion, and what workplaces could actually look like, I'm ready.
