After teaching public middle and high school in NYC for 20 years, I decided to take a break from the classroom to pursue fertility treatments overseas. While on sabbatical for a year in Dominican Republic with my new husband, our very toxic relationship was captured on 3 seasons of reality television. I have been a lifelong learner in classrooms with teachers from all over the world, but my real-life experiences have taught me more than I can learn from any book or mentor. My expertise is in social issues including Race and Gender studies, education, religion and spirituality, and healing from trauma.
