“CEO & Founder • Amics Consulting Group - Advertising/Marketing | Music Distribution Bucket list Travels | Gym enthusiast”
Daneury Silverio or Danny Silverio (born May 29, 1985) is a Dominican entrepreneur, best known as the founder of Amics Consulting Group, Inc., a bespoke marketing and advertising firm that pioneers music industry advertising and strategies.
Born in Santiago, Dominican Republic, in the neighborhood of Los Platanitos, Danny is the son of Dominican journalist/ TV host Anselmo Silverio, who hosted the show Aerovia on Channel 25, and whose career spans over 30 years, including working for newspapers Hoy and El Nacional.
Although Anselmo didn’t play a major role in raising Danny, his mother Elsa, who worked several jobs and side hustles to make ends meet. She ensured that Danny & Anselmo had a good relationship. Elsa moved her family (2 kids, Danny & oldest son Emmanuel Peña, Danny’s 1/2 brother) to the US in the early 90s following a house fire that left them homeless.
Growing up in the south Bronx, Danny was exposed to drug users, dealers, and convicted drug-related criminals in his neighborhood. However, with the guidance from his parents, Danny and his family were encouraged to use their experiences as inspiration to stay honorable and ‘make something of themselves.’
As Danny grew older, he was heavily influenced by hip-hop music and the gang scene that accompanied, and, at age 14, feeling disillusioned by his life and school, he joined a gang.
At the age of 17, Danny was expelled from school following a series of fights and low attendance, and although he was offered other school options, he chose to take tests for GED followed by an SAT, both of which he passed — as a result, he was accepted into college.
Although he had done well academically, Danny found the school routine difficult, and for a short time, he left education. During this time, he had a daughter — the feeling of responsibility that came from this led Danny to finish his degree and find some stability in his work and his life.
In 2012, Danny found a temporary job in advertising which, according to him, changed his life: it kept his attention focused, lit a fire in him to learn more, and challenged him to learn from his mistakes, something he had already begun to do since his adolescent years.
In 2020, alongside Steve Arias, Danny co-founded Amics Consulting Group Inc., a marketing and advertising agency providing music distribution services and digital marketing solutions for small businesses, music artists, and music labels, where he is also head of integrations.
