About Me

Telling the kids was the worst day of my life. After 20 years of living inauthentically I took the step at age 58 to walk away from my marriage.

Relationships have always been a priority so when I met my ex-husband I was ready to sacrifice everything, including my truth, to be with him. I became someone I no longer recognised. Nor did my friends, and somehow I drifted into someone else’s version of my life.

Getting divorced after 20 years was not a decision taken lightly. We had tried everything from individual therapy to six different couple counsellors. I also had nearly 30 years of Buddhist practice behind me. Meanwhile the friction and contempt was building.

The truth is, I stayed in my relationship way too long, a hostage to fear: the fear of loneliness, economic scarcity, and of course the idea that I was breaking up our little family with our two beautiful boys.

Once I had moved on, I realised the many ways I had stunted my own growth. Despite numerous academic degrees, I had never fulfilled my life ambitions, and although I adore my sons, I knew there was a part of me that remained unfulfilled.

On the other hand leaving at 58, I felt it was really too late for me to make anything out of my life. I had to dig deep, and I threw myself relentlessly into personal growth and self help. Out of that effort a new me emerged. A happier, more fulfilled and more authentic person than I had every become. I built a new career in life coaching and sales, and I recognised at the deepest level that this had always been my mission. I had been waiting in the wings. All those years of Buddhist practice along with an unquenchable desire for growth had been quietly germinating underground.

I also attracted a wonderful new relationship with someone who loved me just as I am. No compromises with my own identity.

Perhaps all my previous experiences with my husband were the training ground for what was to come, but I now feel it's my mission to share my story with other women who are plagued by doubt and low self esteem. Divorce is not for everyone, but I believe all women should learn to claim their authentic identity.

Here are some of the things people have said about my coaching and webinars:

“Cori keeps it very real. She weaves her story into her talks, and you can feel how she really did turn her life around. If she can do it, so can I.”

“I was so inspired after I heard Cori’s webinar series, “Rewrite Your Story”. I shifted my mindset and changed my finances and my love life. I’m so much clearer about what I want and how to get it. This 4 part the webinar series was a gold mine.

“Cori is one of my favourite trainers, that’s why I always get her to speak on my platform.”
