Raised in the back-to-nature movement of the 1970s, Dr. Komor has dedicated his life to understanding the intersection of human behavior and planetary health. He published his first op-ed on climate change before Dr. James Hansen’s historic 1988 congressional testimony, viewing global warming as the most significant threat humanity has ever faced. For Dr. Komor, the mission is personal: protecting an Earth that is becoming unlivable for our children and grandchildren due to environmental feedback loops and the "corporatocratic" pursuit of profit.

• Institutional Reform: He spent five years working "behind the wall" at the nation’s largest and oldest walled maximum-security prison, where he learned to fight institutionalization to deliver results for suffering people.
• Para-Military Service: Dr. Komor served as an officer in Search and Rescue and the Civil Air Patrol, gaining experience in crisis management and para-military leadership.
• Public Education: He has authored 26 books and taught large groups of professionals in over 100 cities over a five-year period.

A Scientific Authority on the Global Stage

Dr. Komor is a nationally recognized expert in climate intervention and carbon removal. His work has influenced federal policy and coordinated state-level responses:

• White House Advisor: In early 2021, he advised White House Executive Office staff, contributing to the development of carbon removal provisions in H.R. 3684.
• Interstate Strategist: As the developer of the Interstate SkyCarbon Blueprint, he created a framework to coordinate large-scale Direct Atmospheric Carbon Removal (DACR) across more than 20 U.S. state governments.
• U.S. Climate Deadline Alliance: He leads this alliance to educate on the 450 ppm atmospheric carbon threshold, motivate global stakeholders toward DACR deployment, and support sustainable political and corporate structures.
• Constitutional Advocate: Between 2019 and 2021, he brought constitutional litigation against the federal government, seeking First Amendment protections within the context of the climate emergency.

feedbacks in planetary systems from causing massive loss of planetary carrying capacity and biosphere failure leading to catastrophic loss of over 70% of planetary life within this century.
