“Twenty years on bulls. Twenty-five years managing fleets. Now helping Outliers in the trades own their leadership story.”
My grandfather was a Mexican Matador. Growing up as a Military Brat I never lived anywhere near a ranch. And somehow I ended up spending twenty years competing as a bull rider, including going pro at thirty nine against cowboys half my age.
The bulls were always meant to find me, I guess.
For twenty five years I managed fleets from 150 to 16,000 units, most of that time as the only woman in the room. What both arenas taught me is the same thing. The skills that keep you on a bull are the same ones that keep you steady in leadership when everything is spinning.
That’s the message I bring to Outliers in the trades. The women, LGBTQ+ professionals, people of color, and anyone whose path looked different from everyone else’s who built their expertise on shop floors and in arenas and have been calling it just doing their job ever since.
Along the way I was featured in the documentary Queens and Cowboys, earned my ASE certification, and am currently in the NSA Colorado Speakers Academy.
So let me ask you something. Have you ever put your heart, soul and life on the line for something you truly want?
If you have, you already understand the heart of a bull rider. If not, find the passion that will get you there and make it YOUR BULL.
That’s what I’m here to do. Help people find their bull.
