“Helping others become more embodied, empowered and whole with some Horse Sense. Horses can be our greatest teachers, healers and guides.”
I'm coach and facilitator, farrier (hoof care for horses), and self-defence instructor. I've overcome significant life challenges to get to where I am today, and I'm learning to use my voice to speak about these experiences to help inspire and empower others to courageously take the next steps on their journeys.
I've worked with thousands of horses, and they've been my greatest teachers. I'm now the founder and director of Horse Sense North where we offer transformational growth experiences with horses on our scenic farm in Almaguin, Ontario. We work with clients from all walks of life, and we’re especially passionate about serving those who serve others. We have a trauma recovery and wellness program for first responders because they're the reason I'm alive today. It’s our way of giving back to those who keep our communities going.
While in college, I experienced a traumatic event. There was a school shooting. It’s because of the incredible work that first responders do that I’m still in this world. This led me on a journey of self-discovery and healing, and kept bringing me to horses. It’s an honour to be a bridge builder between the worlds of horses and humans, helping others have life changing and healing experiences as well.
