“I build AI systems for the real world. I've spent 15+ years mainly focused on what happens after the AI demo works.”
I’ve spent the last 15+ years building technology, which is a fancy way of saying I’ve spent a lot of time arguing with computers and occasionally convincing them to do what I want.
My journey has taken me from startups to Amazon and Google, where I worked on large-scale systems, AI, recommendations, Alexa, and Responsible AI. I’ve also been on the other side of the table, founding companies, leading engineering teams, and helping large organizations figure out what to actually do with AI beyond putting a chatbot on the homepage.
Today, I’m an AI executive and architect focused on the messy, interesting part of AI: taking impressive demos and turning them into systems that work reliably in the real world.
I love talking about AI, Responsible AI, agents, architecture, engineering, leadership, startups, and the future of work. I’m particularly interested in the gap between what AI promises, what companies actually build, and what happens when things inevitably go sideways.
I’m based in Madrid, work globally, and happily do podcasts in English or Spanish. Bring coffee and difficult questions.
