Brian McAvoy

I received my Bachelor’s in Accounting and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Scranton. Upon graduation, I worked in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Private Company Services and Financial Services audit teams. I also worked as a Finance Manager at a mid-size bank in New York City.

After working with large corporations, I decided to take my skills and expertise to the small and medium-sized business space and joined my family business. Leveraging my extensive accounting experience and relationship-building skills, I partner with small and mid-sized business owners to help them better understand their business, including what is working and what is not working.

In order to help business owners achieve the full financial potential of their business, I examine 16 key drivers that impact a business' financial health. This in-depth analysis allows me to pinpoint specific areas for improvement, and most importantly, devise actionable plans tailored to that business' needs and that business owners personality.

As a gay small-business owner, especially in the accounting/finance field, I've had an interesting experience to get to the point I'm at today. I'm especially passionate about the LGBTQIA+ community grow it's voice and have the support they need to have a successful business that generates profits and consistent, positive cash flow. I don't limit my business and speaking engagements to LGBTQIA+ spaces but it is something I'm particularly passionate about.
