“Founder of Automated Edge | Private AI for small businesses and MSPs | Measure first, keep control”
Brian Kelly is the founder of Automated Edge, which builds and runs private, secure AI systems for small and mid-sized businesses. He has more than 20 years in IT, security and managed services, including running an MSP.
Automated Edge starts by measuring how a team actually works over ten business days with its Edgerton assessment. If there is no clear path to ROI, the assessment fee is refunded and the client keeps the report. The goal is to find the work worth improving before anyone buys another tool.
Brian helps legal, dental, home services, accounting and healthcare practices use AI without staff pasting client data into personal chatbots. He also works with MSPs and IT providers that want to offer AI without building an AI team.
He explains private AI in plain language. Edgekeeper runs on a dedicated Microsoft Azure server with no public internet address. Staff use an approved workspace called Switchboard. Questions are read-only by default, changes are reviewed by a person, and access is logged. Private means a controlled layer between a business and the connected AI models, not a claim that it never touches OpenAI or Anthropic.
Clients keep ownership of their data and business knowledge, with export rights in the contract. Brian can discuss shadow AI, measuring before automating, vendor questions about data ownership, and practical white-label or co-delivery options for MSPs. He is available for audio or video and has an external microphone.
