I'm Brian, the solo founder behind Keld — a health app that finds real statistical patterns in a person's own Apple Health data and is honest about how strong each pattern actually is, instead of inflating everything into "insights" the way most wellness apps do.

I built it by directing a set of AI coding agents rather than writing every line by hand, and the thing most people get wrong about that process is assuming it removes the need for real engineering judgment. It doesn't — it shifts where that judgment has to happen. AI can write fast and verify relentlessly, but it doesn't know what's actually worth building, doesn't remember the product's own history the way a founder does, and doesn't have the imagination to know when a result is too good to be true or a feature isn't worth keeping. That's still entirely a human job.

The app runs its analysis entirely on-device — no server sees your health data — which is a much harder engineering path than the alternative, and one I chose specifically because of what it protects.

I'd genuinely enjoy talking about what AI-assisted solo development actually looks like day to day versus the hype version, and about the current reality of that work: a product that's technically solid but still fighting for its first real distribution.
