Bob McGurty

For over 30 years, I have worked in leadership, missions, nonprofit development, coaching, and cross-cultural ministry—living in the United States, United Kingdom, Bangladesh, and India. I currently serve as Executive Director of Calcutta Mercy, a nonprofit focused on feeding, educating, and medically assisting people in India.

I would probably describe myself more as a mentor, networker, and storyteller than anything else. I enjoy sharing meaningful experiences, lessons learned, and honest conversations—usually with a little humor mixed in.

Over time, my personal journey became the foundation for a new coaching and speaking platform called Rickshaw Journey, centered around the idea of “finding your voice.” After decades of leadership, ministry, successes, failures, reinvention, and reflection, I’ve become passionate about helping people—especially men in the second half of life—rediscover purpose, authenticity, and legacy.

I’m not interested in pretending to have life figured out. I simply enjoy real conversations that encourage people, challenge them to think more deeply, and hopefully leave them with a little more clarity and hope than before.
