About Me

On January 6th, I was already interviewing Trump supporters for a book I was writing, when halfway through the interviews, people in the crowd stormed the US Capitol. I rushed to interview people at the moment that they were leaving the building and witnessed crowds running in through broken windows, as well as the final push of tear gas and police reinforcements that pushed the remaining crowd off the premises. I turned this experience into the book: “Sorry Guys, We Stormed the Capitol.”

My presence on the ground gives me a unique insight into that day’s events that challenge dismissive narratives. But I also insist both the right and left-wing media have put a misleading spin on the events for their own gain. Interviewing me will give you an interesting episode about Jan 6. I would be happy to send you free copies of the book.

I have loads of audio clips and recorded interviews from January 6th that I could possibly share.

Before I started doing this, I was a history teacher. We could do an episode with these topics: putting Jan 6th in the context of our historical time period, comparing Jan 6 to other events in history such as the French Revolution or the Roman Republic, media portrayal vs. my experiences, the role of social media, Jan 6 in their own words, or a related topic suggested by you.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
