I'm Ben Davis, host of Untrapped Entrepreneur, a podcast with 100,000+ YouTube subscribers exploring the real traps behind building a business. I bring two perspectives to an interview: the entrepreneur who has lived through the decisions, and the host who knows how to turn those experiences into a useful conversation.

I founded The Gents Place in 2008, launching a membership-based luxury barber and business club during the financial crisis. The concept grew through franchising across the U.S. My business partners include Jerry Jones and Emmitt Smith, and my experience spans building brands, leading teams, raising capital and creating a business that gives people a reason to belong.

My operating, investment and advisory background includes:

• Founder of GentsTV Media Network and host of The Lounge, bringing together content, distribution, advertising and community.

• Lead investor in Hire Emerald, which connects U.S. employers with professional talent in Colombia and Latin America.

• Brand owner of Rascal and Cliff Supply in men's personal care.

• Co-founded Servant Health, where I was responsible for procuring and sourcing more than $70 million in federal and state government contracts.

• Previously advised USA Gloves, a U.S. manufacturer of nitrile exam gloves, and co-founded healthcare marketing and patient activation company 83bar (acquired).

• Former partner at Goosehead Insurance, where I managed sales and client service functions and worked with the CEO on operations and growth.

I'm also a co-founder of Operation Gentlemen. Through The Gents Place and our service initiatives, our community has helped provide more than 65,000 meals to homeless veterans, 5,000 haircuts to people experiencing homelessness, and 15,000 suits and clothing items to soldiers. I was a Dallas Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree in 2012 and contributed a chapter on creating a lifestyle brand to The Soul of Success, Volume 2, featuring Jack Canfield.
