For nearly 20 years, I was an atheist. Then, in 2021, a completely unexpected spiritual awakening changed everything I thought I knew about myself, God, death and reality. What began as an extraordinary experience eventually took me into the darkest period of my life, including a psychiatric hospitalization—and ultimately into a relationship with God I never could have imagined.
Today, I’m a modern mystic exploring what it means to experience God directly and bring the sacred into the very ordinary (and often very messy) business of being human. I’m especially interested in the places spirituality can get a little too polished: fear, doubt, mental health, relationships, loss, surrender, and our difficult and complex relationship to the unknown.
I love conversations about spiritual awakening, the paranormal, psychedelics, death, mysticism, God, surrender, and the strange intersection of science and spirituality. I bring curiosity, humor, vulnerability, and zero interest in pretending I have it all figured out.
