Living in Johannesburg, South Africa has given me a slightly quirky world view- we laugh at ourselves all the time here so I appreciate the humour in life. My career in learning and development as well as public speaking, has prepared me for the publishing adventure I embarked on in 2023. I wrote a novel in a month, polished for a month and signed on with my first query. Was it luck or intent? Who knows, but now, with my contemporary romance out in March, I want to share what I've learnt and continue learning from others. The writing world has evolved and we need to evolve with it.

As an Indian South African, I'm fortunate to experience the literary world from different lens. One that allows me to see the best and flip past the worst. I've been embraced and supported and if there's one lesson I can speak clearly to, it's don't listen to everything you hear- ironic, right? There's a space at the table for everyone, sometimes all we need is a reshuffle.
