About Me

Anna is the Director of Healthy Leadership CIC, a collective whose aim is to encourage ourselves and others to be more decent by looking at our positives and negatives and then work to make positive changes to ourselves and our organisations.

Anna is a clinical psychologist, executive coach, and organisational well-being expert with a wealth of academic and experiential knowledge. She has worked with and provided guidance to multiple global initiatives including responsible leadership for the NHS, International Red Cross and Red Crescent, and PwC. Anna has helped to develop mental health and well-being strategies for UN agencies, including the International Organization for Migration and was a member of the UN’s peacekeeping missions in Darfur, Sudan, and Afghanistan. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.

Anna is co-author of a new book with Grazia Lomonte: Healing-Self Care for Leaders and their Teams (published end of March 2024). This groundbreaking and timely book helps professionals to learn about their own qualities and behaviours; to learn about living with the underlying and unresolved and to understand factors that impact well-being for their team. Anna explains:

“For us to grow and flourish as leaders so that we lead inclusively and healthily, we need to pause and look at our own well-being and self-care. Unmanaged stress, both temporary and long-term, can have a harmful impact on our ability to function and lead.”

Anna is also the author of the Decency Journey Series of pocketbooks to help people flourish in their careers and workplaces. Each affordable book succinctly covers a different topic: Healthy Leadership; Healthy Organisations; Coping in a Toxic Environment; Your Own Toxic Work Behaviours; Building an Organisational Mental Health and Well-Being Strategy; Our Journey for Diversity and Inclusion in Business and Volcanoes, Personal Healing and Change.
