Amy Zwagerman

Hi, I’m Amy! I’m an ex-fortune 500 marketer-turned-professor-turned-entrepreneur with over 25 years of professional marketing experience across film and television, sports, and consumer products. My primary mission is to help entrepreneurs and small business owners achieve their dreams by learning how to think more like a marketer.

In 2016, I founded the Launch Box, a boutique marketing services firm where I serve as an advisor, mentor, and Fractional CMO for founders and small business leaders around the world.

I am also an active host and marketing advisor for CoFoundersLab, Techstars, and Plug and Play and serve as a mentor via both the Pepperdine Most Fundable Companies competition and the Pepperdine Institute for Entertainment, Media and Sports, where I co-author of The MEDIA Report, an annual working paper on the changing face of media and entertainment in America.

My work has been featured everywhere from the Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Forbes, and Fast Company to blogs from the American Marketing Assocation, Marketing Sherpa, and Markitors.

I have a graduate degree from the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School (MBA), where I also serve as an adjunct professor of digital media and entertainment, and a BSBA in Marketing from the University of Arizona.

During my time off, you will find me either worshiping the cinema gods, lounging with my dog Zoey (preferably outside by a pool), or engaging in what has come to be a never-ending quest to make the perfect pizza.

I love to talk about #marketing, #movies, and #mentorship (my 3 M's); and, if you ask me about them, I will more than happily talk about my partner in canine crime, Zoey, and the art and science of making a great pizza dough for way longer than necessary.
