A Bit About My Journey

Less than a year ago, I didn’t know anything about web-dev. I didn’t understand anything about complex system designs, databases, paradigms, etc... That was all big vasts of knowledge I don't think any person would handle, actually.

But I persevered because I had a vision that the scene of Art lacked something it's been needing for ages. It was a difficult fight, but now I am here with a shard of my soul that I want to offer to the rest of the artist world.

The website is called Branch of Art. Branch of Art is a place for artists, musicians, meme-makers, and other creators to upload works and allow others to “mutate” or reinterpret them. Each piece becomes part of an infinite branching family tree of creative versions.

For example, let's imagine you made an art sketch of an arm but felt too lazy to finish it. So you upload it to Branch Of Art. Then, 1) one person will complete the sketch, drawing a person to the unfinished arm; 2) another person may color it; 3) someone else may make a fancy brand logo with this unfinished sketch but different texture; 4) and someone may even make a song inspired by the sketch of the arm.

All of this is then arranged as a family tree of these mutations that others can mutate infinitely further.

People can even contribute anonymously — no account needed.

Why do I absolutely need to appear on your podcast?

Because the website is growing at a consistent rate,r aching new heights as we speak! My website is set on a unique mission to give artists what they need for what they have always done — remixing and modifying other people's creation. Just think about it, the remixes of your favorite songs, different edits of clips from movies, memes — all of these are jsut mutations of someone else's art. Even Pablo Picasso said, "Good artists copy, great artists steal" because all forms of creation in one way or another stand on someone elses shoulders. And this is the purpose of the platform, to finally systematicize it, to give this natural process infrastructure it's been due.

On the other hand, I am the biggest UNDERDOG you can possibly imagine. I had absolute zero coding background! I had no connections (I still don't lol). I have no financial backing. I have so many struggles. And yet, I made it work, and all because I have a purpose.

I do not think there are that many people who have walked the same path; who can share a likewise experience of doing things from absolute scratch despite all the challenges and obstacles.
