I am a survivor of a history of toxic relationships including an emotionally traumatic marriage and divorce. I was definitely not the go-to for any kind of relationship advice.

After several years of dating my high school sweetheart (who everyone thought I would marry), I was left pregnant and alone at 18. I entered into a series of toxic relationships looking for love, jumped into an 8-year abusive marriage because I didn't want to wait, and just to say I was married. The outcome of that marriage was a horrible divorce. I met someone years later, accepted another marriage proposal, with the spirit of God screaming a deafening "No" inside every fiber of my being; I ignored Him, said "Yes" anyway, and started making wedding plans. My fiancé decided to up and disappear. When I tracked him down for answers, he said he didn't want to be in the relationship anymore. Apparently, he forgot to let me know. All this, and you would think I would crawl up into a ball and never come out. Nope, I still believed in love. The problem was that I didn't know how to have it happen for me UNTIL God gave me 3 words that changed my world forever... Be Soulmate Ready!®
