“Meditation teacher and writer exploring consciousness, nervous system regulation and the strange, beautiful business of being human.”
Hello! I’m Alyssa Snow, a meditation teacher, writer and creator of The Sacred Way, a practice-based approach to becoming more conscious, embodied and intentional in our lives.
For more than two decades, I’ve helped thousands of people cultivate awareness, emotional resilience and a deeper relationship with themselves through meditation, yoga, breathwork and honest self-inquiry.
For 12 years, I owned and led a yoga studio and wellness center in New York City and created and hosted Mind Body Soul Radio. I now teach live on Insight Timer, write weekly on Substack and offer practices and classes that help people move from reactivity to presence. My Insight Timer course, Awakening the Multidimensional Self, offers a deeper introduction to my philosophy.
I call this body of work The Sacred Way. It explores what becomes possible when spirituality is grounded in the realities of being human. I’m especially interested in how nervous system regulation changes what we can perceive, access and create; how the body functions as an instrument of consciousness; and how understanding our human nature can make our spiritual nature more apparent.
I’m also a mom, a licensed foster parent, and a trauma-informed practitioner and speaker. I bring warmth, depth, humor and plenty of real-life stories to conversations.
I’m comfortable exploring consciousness and the unseen while bringing discernment, practicality and our very human messiness into every conversation.
A living practice of nervous system regulation to sustain higher states of consciousness. Essays, poems, transmissions and spoken word pieces. Click to read The Sacred Way, by Alyssa Snow, a Substack publication with hundreds of subscribers.
Alyssa Snow is a meditation teacher, writer, and guide whose work explores the intersection of nervous system regulation, embodied spirituality, and everyday life. For more than two decades, she has helped students cultivate greater awareness, emotional resilience, and a deeper relationship with themselves through meditation, yoga, breathwork, contemplative practice, and honest self-inquiry. Her teaching is grounded in a simple observation: a regulated nervous system changes what we can perceive, access, and create. When the body feels safe, awareness expands. When awareness expands, new possibilities emerge. On Insight Timer, Alyssa shares meditations, teachings, courses, and live classes that help students move from reactivity to presence—and participate in their lives more fully. She is the creator of The Sacred Way, a body of teaching and practice devoted to becoming more conscious, embodied, and intentional in our human lives. Those who wish to continue studying with Alyssa can join The Practice Room, attend Sacred Way Salons, or work with her privately through a Sacred Session or Private Mentorship. She lives in the Bronx, New York, with her husband, three daughters, her mother-in-law, and two dogs who remain largely uninterested in spiritual development but quite interested in squirrels.
