“Unconventional Conversations: Deep, Long-Form Talks with World-Class Entrepreneurs & Thinkers on Life's Purpose, Society & Nature of Reality”
I have raw, long-form conversations with world-class entrepreneurs and unique thinkers, exploring topics rarely discussed publicly.
Over 2 to 4 hours, we dive into their life journey, adversity, mental health struggles, self-development, and how it shaped their worldview and sense of purpose.
Almost every episode after we've finished recording, my guests have told me, "I've never discussed that before" – and that's my goal. 🙌
"Josh Boone has this "If Charlie Rose and Socrates had a love child" quality to the way he engages people." – Sam McNerney, Applied Behavioral Scientist
One thing to make clear: I have many entrepreneurs on, but this is not a business podcast. As a lifelong one, I find their journeys, unique struggles, perspectives, and hard lessons learned from resilience fascinating – but this is not a show about business. It's a show about people, purpose, and society.
I am bored to death by more talk of getting rich from real estate, how to scale businesses, or discussing the latest marketing strategies. We're not a good fit if you want to come on exclusively to drive business. I'm looking for people who have unique perspectives and something they have to get out and talk about.
Some general topics I love to explore:
But the primary interest is: do you have something you can teach me? Are you an expert in something obscure and/or have a unique perspective on life? Are you willing to be raw, weird, and vulnerable with me? Then let's chat 🤙
My approach to politics.
While the show isn't about the day-to-day news cycle, we may naturally veer into current events and what's happening in the world, just like you would with friends over drinks. Some important points:
"I’m so excited! I’ve been waiting for this one. You were a great host. I felt energized after we talked instead of drained like I have with many podcasts." – Seth Erickson, Founder of Storify
