My name is Kevin and I am working with Mr. Friedman now on getting podcast interviews.
Here is a bit of his bio and background. He is concise, in communication, has a great presentation, and few know the human exploitation terrain like he does.
He is a business professional that will help you have a fantastic show.
Here is some of his background.
My name is Matt Friedman, and I have the privilege of serving as the CEO of the Mekong Club, an organization committed to combating human trafficking and modern slavery in Southeast Asia and around the world. With nearly four decades of experience in the development and business sectors, I've gained a deeper understanding of the complexities surrounding human rights issues. My focus has been on engaging the private sector to take meaningful action against human trafficking, advocating for ethical business practices, and working towards sustainable solutions that empower vulnerable communities.
During my time at the Mekong Club, I've had the opportunity to collaborate with various businesses, fostering a shared commitment to eradicating exploitation in supply chains. I try to bring an innovative approach to our work, leveraging technology and forming strategic partnerships to drive impactful change. Before joining the Mekong Club, I held positions in different donors and consulting firms, where I learned a great deal about social impact and corporate responsibility.
In this podcast episode, I hope to share some insights from my experiences and highlight the important role that the private sector can play in addressing human trafficking. My passion for this cause drives me, and I aspire to inspire and educate listeners about the importance of working toward a world free from exploitation. If you Google my name, you will see that my internet presence is extensive.
I am the author of 15 books and was voted the 16th most influential person on LinkedIn in Hong Kong (out of 2 million people). While I am an American with two sons living in North Carolina, I have lived in Asia for over 35 years. My latest Penguin Random House book “Awakening the Advocate” just came out last week. It is a collection of over 100 short stories related to human trafficking and my journey as an activist. If you are interested, I can share my media bio.
The Mekong Club is a community of like-minded professionals across different industries, working together to address modern slavery risk.
