Mary Trudeau is a professional engineer and environmental consultant specializing in water management and urban water infrastructure. She is also the author of a children's book, A Tale of Two Planets, written to inspire awe and wonder for our amazing planet. She is the Director of an environmental consulting company and has worked in the environmental field for over 30 years. Mary's diverse interests are reflected in her formal education, with degrees including a Bachelor of Applied Science (Civil Engineering), a PhD (Geography) and an Arts Degree (English Literature). She is a part time professor at the University of Ottawa. Most importantly, she is a human on Earth at a time of manifold looming crises. In addition to science, which is important, Mary contemplates our need to reconnect with the wonder and beauty of life on Earth, rekindling reverence and remembering, with humility, our place as planetary caretakers. There are also some very pragmatic things we can do to prepare for changes that may come as our planet makes adjustments to rebalance itself.
Mary Trudeau - Mary Trudeau, PhD, P.Eng, is an experienced manager and professional engineer with over twenty-five years of experience in the development and implementation of water policy, programs and projects. She combines strong analytical skills and management abilities with in-depth technical knowledge of urban infrastructure and practical experience in both the public and private sectors. Dr. Trudeau has successfully managed large, multi-disciplinary teams, public advisory committees, multi-stakeholder technical advisory committees, and staff groups of up to 70 persons, ensuring high quality deliverables on time and within budgeted resources.
