BOOM! The earth-shaking explosion jolts me out of a deep sleep, vibrating through my bones. BOOM! Another one, shaking my windows. BOOM! Panic grips my chest as I struggle to make sense of it. But then it hits me — THE WAR HAS BEGUN.
That was the moment my life changed. I had to leave Ukraine, leave everything familiar, and start over as a refugee in Germany. But instead of letting fear or anger take over, I decided I wouldn’t let myself be defined by tragedy. My journey of transformation inspired me to write “Not a Victim: Choose a Better Life, Relationships, and Emotional Well-Being,” a book about finding strength, building resilience, healing emotions and traumas, and improving all areas of one’s life.
