“Happy Brain Chemicals: I'll explain the job of dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, and endorphin in animals so you can find your power over them”
I'm Founder of the Inner Mammal Institute and author of Habits of a Happy Brain: Retrain your brain to boost your serotonin, dopamine, oxytocin and endorphin levels.
Our happy brain chemicals are not designed to be on all the time. When you know what sparks them in the state of nature, you can find healthy ways to spark them in daily life.
But it's hard. Our brain is inherited from ancestors who had to struggle constantly to survive. Our chemicals are designed to reward us for taking action to meet our survival needs. Our unhappy chemicals turn on easy because our ancestors lived in a world of threat.
Managing these chemicals is a skill we must learn from practice, like any other skill. I'll teach you how, so you can enjoy your natural dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, and endorphin in new ways.
I have helped thousands of people make peace with their inner mammal. My ten books have been translated into 18 languages. I've been on many podcasts and have my own: The Happy Brain.
Short videos explaining my method are here, here, and here.
This method is all positive. It's not about disorders. It's not about diet, exercise, or mindfulness. It's about accepting the natural job of your chemicals so you can guide your mammal brain the way a rider guides a horse.
But if you want to talk about threat chemicals, here's my anxiety page, with links to my book and videos on the subject.
Happiness comes from brain chemicals we've inherited from earlier mammals. You can trigger more of them when you know the job they do in animals.
You have power over your dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin & endorphin. Here's a simple step-by-step method to help your mammal brain release more in sustainable ways.
You can spark more of the chemicals that make you feel good: dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, or endorphin. We have more power over these happy chemicals than you realize. We’ve inherited them from animals and we manage them with brain structures that all mammals have in common. This course is a fun way to rewire yourself to turn on your happy chemicals in healthy ways.
