Fun facts that might draw you in— I am a former contracted theme park performer for Nickelodeon, a 10-year Cancer Survivor, a former member of the Groundlings Theatre, and absolutely obsessed with automotive design.

Hi, I’m Kevin Fenton, an accidental entrepreneur who discovered along the way that I thrive when I’m charting my own course. Early in my career, I kept getting fired, and I thought it was because I was the problem. Turns out, I just needed to be running my own show.

Today, I lead Walla Design, a full-service creative agency based in Washington, DC. With a small but mighty core team of four (and a flexible network of creative collaborators), we specialize in brand design and web projects. Some of our recent work includes projects for Baccarat Hotels, Clorox, and the Fulbright Scholarship Program. Growing the agency has been a wild ride—two steps forward, one step back—but that’s the beautiful chaos of being a founder.

Outside of work, I hold a seat with the National Small Business Association's Leadership Council and have served on boards like the DC Chapter of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and the Del Ray Business Association. Academically, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications (Advertising) from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MFA in Design and Art Direction from Miami Ad School.

When I’m not obsessing over design or strategy, you can probably find me discovering shapes and patterns in the everyday, nerding out over car design, or daydreaming about what’s next for Walla.
