“From South Side Chicago to AZ My Journey of Love, Loss & Founding a Tequila Co. on a mission to lift others up One Bottle at a time”
I’m Debbie Medina-Gach, Co-Founder/CEO of Señor Rio Tequila. From the South Side of Chicago I built a career in banking and real estate before fate changed everything. After 30 years, I reunited with my father Senor Rio in Mexico—an emotional moment that led my late husband and me to launch our tequila brand from my father’s 3 generation handed-down recipe. With passion and grit, we built Señor Rio tequila from scratch and on a shoestring; sold exclusively at Total Wine & More stores nationwide. I'm also the author of One Bottle at a Time: A True Love Story – 50 Tequila Craft Cocktails, it's my heartfelt story behind the bottle weaving in cocktail recipes. During COVID, I founded the nonprofit We Care Crusade, supporting families with children who have special needs. Learn why actor Joe Mantegna joined me as my business partner/ co-owner of Senor Rio tequila. I speak from experience about love, loss, entrepreneurship, & purpose and I’d love to share that journey with your listeners.

We Care Crusade is a foundation that was founded in 2021, dedicated to the founder's twin granddaughters, Katalina and Klaudia, pictured with their loving and beautiful mother Crystal, and their exceptional and caring brother Karmine. Katalina and Klaudia are amazing heroes. Our story begins and is about the gift of raising children who are different.
