About Me

In 2009, my life took a pivotal turn. While reviewing security footage in my job as a retail store manager, I saw myself and hardly recognized the person on the screen. Once an active individual, passionate about sports, the reflection of myself out of shape was a rude awakening.

That moment marked a new beginning for me. I was fed up with feeling constantly tired, out of shape, and unhappy with my life's direction. I decided it was time for a major overhaul of my habits, leading to an 80lb weight loss in just 10 months. This personal transformation didn't just reshape my body; it profoundly altered my life's path, igniting a passion for helping others live the life they wanted to live.

Today, I help people build the habits that build the life they want and turn everyday choices into powerful win for their health, mindset, relationships, faith, and career through my company "Unshakable Habits" and podcast.

With over a decade of experience, I hold the title of National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC). My expertise includes certifications as an Elite Fitness Trainer, PN Level 2 Master Health Coach, Online Fitness Trainer, Sports Nutritionist, and Sleep, Stress Management, and Recovery Coach.

My philosophy, Synergistic Self-Improvement, focuses on turning daily habits into small, manageable victories. These changes collectively improve health, strengthen relationships, and enhance productivity. It’s about practical, straightforward strategies for lasting improvements in your life.

5 Interesting Facts About Me:

  1. In addition to my coaching business and podcast, I co-host a weekly radio sports show here in Atlanta and a live sports podcast every Friday night (Playcallerssportstalk.com/live) if you want to check it out. In case you're curious, I'm a 49ers, Lakers, and Florida State fan.
  2. For the last 4 years, I've lead a small group Bible study at my church. What makes that interesting is that I just got came back to church after a 30 year hiatus a few years before that.
  3. In my 20's and 30's I taught myself web and graphic design and at one time considered pursuing it as a career.
  4. I got married to my wife in 2005 which gives us the longest tenured marriage amongst our friends.
  5. I jokingly tell people that I started the whole "balanced" or "flexible" eating trend because one of my motivations when I started my 80lb weight loss journey was to prove that diet advice sucked and that you could lose weight without giving up your favorite foods - turns out that I was right.
