Sustainability: There is so much content out there purely designed to shock and judge - particularly in the world of sustainability. "Thought leaders" love to demonize (plastic, landfills, natural gas, recycling, etc) and revere (paper, bioplastic, algae fuel, composting, etc) without truly understanding the issues and nuance behind the claims they are making. This infuriates me as it leads to poor decision-making and unjustified divisiveness. I have made it my goal to help build a community of business leaders, employees and citizens who seek to understand data and research, can grasp inherent tensions and complexities in sustainability, and can make decisions that (while imperfect) are truly better for the planet.

In addition to sustainability, I love talking about:

• Leadership: I run a business of about 70-people and love to dialogue about how to build a strong culture of togetherness (in a world of extreme loneliness), how to handle employee issues, and how to grow while staying true to your values. After spending almost a decade working in educational inequality and social justice, I now truly believe that running a business - particularly a warehouse business that employs many hourly workers - is one of the most important ways a person can positively impact lives and communities, and love talking about why and how this can be true.
• Co-running a business with your spouse: I run EcoEnclose with my husband, while also raising thee young kids at home. Balancing our work personas with our home personas, keeping the long-view in the midst of short-term stresses, and finding ways to love each other (even when we ardently disagree) are things I am learning every single day and love to talk through.
