I am in my 20s and living in Atlanta, but I was raised in the suburbs. I attended college in the mountains at a PWI. I identify as a lesbian, and I am very open about it. Since graduating college, I’ve worked as a chemist. Despite the many stereotypes of scientists, I do like to go out and I am very social. I have overcome various challenges due to me being a QWOC, but also in STEM. My unique experiences are always great conversation pieces. I also have a vast amount of advice to give to others who are going through similar experiences.
