After many years in traditional activism, and seeing corporations win against people almost every time, I discovered a new strategy. The "community rights" movement gives people the upper hand in fighting corporate harms in their towns and communities -- from fracking to factory farms -- and restores the so-called rights of corporations back to the people where they belong. Moreover, it often sees liberals and conservatives coming together even amidst our fractured political landscape.
In 2017, I launched Community Rights US as a platform for this work. I now have my first book coming out, which I describe as a lay person’s guide to dismantling corporate rule in the U.S.
