About Me

Paige Lavoie is a Halloween-loving cinnamon roll who writes stories about misfits, monsters, and falling in love. Her affection for cozy autumn moments, charming protagonists, and all things cute and creepy reflects in the worlds she creates. When Paige isn’t writing, she can be found hunting for treasures at the local antique mall and sipping oat milk lattes under a lacey parasol as she hides from the sun in her home state of FL.

Past Speaking Engagements

I've done readings at BookCon, spoken on both craft/reader focused panels at BookNetFest, Trinity Prep Author Fest, IndieBookFest and GeekGirlCon. I'm ready to dive into fandoms, goof around or touch on more serious topics.

For bookish podcasts; Are you looking for an author to share in the love of books on your show? Lets talk about our favorite tropes, paranormal romance, and what makes villains so gosh darn attractive. I write both YA and Adult stories with common themes of finding love, found family, and learning to be comfortable in your own skin. I'm always happy to do readings, share behind the scenes, and talk about the books and authors I love!

For author/writer podcasts; Lets dig into themes, writing retellings, pacing, writing routines, and dealing with imposter syndrome. I've battled with anxiety and panic attacks for years and am happy to discuss what works for me to get back to a good mental place to keep writing.

For halloween/spooky and horror podcasts; I'm a fan of all things both creepy and cute! I'd love to have the chance to geek out about 90s disney channel original movies. (Halloweentown, Phantom of The Multiplex, Moms Got a Date With A Vampire) I grew up reading Anne Rice novels and love chatting about vampire lore, and have written a Frankenstien retelling so I'm happy to dive into the classics. Let's talk about who the real monsters of horror are--or just how nice Mothman's butt is.

Books

I'M IN LOVE WITH MOTHMAN (December 2022)

She's a burnt-out influencer,

He's an ancient cryptid,

Together in the forest they can hide from rumors, cameras, and crowds, but not each other's hearts.

A GIRL CALLED MONSTER (March 2023)

Pitch: In this heartbreaking reimagining of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, a girl who was once seen as nothing but a monster must learn what it truly means to be human, and how far she is willing to go to take control of her own life.

OUR OWN LITTLE UNDERWORLD (June 2023)

Pitch: After nearly freezing to death, 17-year-old Percy isn’t surprised when she wakes up in a coffin. Being alive and served pomegranate tea by Hayden, the son of the town mortician, however—is unexpected. Our Own Little Underworld is a cozy contemporary take on Hades and Persephone.
