Hi, I'm Mike Cheng. I'm the CEO and co-founder of Lumen5, an online video creation platform with over 800,000 users worldwide. We started Lumen5 with a vision to democratize video creation so that anyone can easily produce engaging video content without prior video editing experience. Lumen5 has seen rapid growth in recent years and was featured by both CanadianBusiness and Globe and Mail's lists of top 100 fastest growing companies in Canada.

I have a track record of bootstrapping successful companies, and we grew Lumen5 into a multimillion-dollar company within 2 years and expanded our team to 40 people without investor funding. We recently won the New Ventures BC competition, recognized as the fastest-growing early-stage startup in BC. Prior to Lumen5, l co-founded Sniply which I also bootstrapped and took from ideation to acquisition within several years.
