At age 14, I was sent to live in the woods at a tough love camp, or as I’ve always called it “Bad Girl Camp”. Most girls were there 3-6 months but I wound up being there 9!
We slept in tents on donated prison beds, we ate spam more often than not, we chopped wood with axes ( yes, they gave us sharp objects) and I was left on the side of the highway in the middle of winter by the camp bus.
My camp memories have laid dormant for 27 yrs until recently when I wrote a book in great detail about my time at bad girl camp.
