“I'm a disabled queer speculative fiction writer who escaped death as a child to live on traveling widely in my head.”
I have extensive experience as a child and now adult with chronic illness, ideas about what its like to feel like a burden and source of stress to my family. What its like to be an artist and an employee trying to make a living with limited physical capacity. And how my disability intersects with my identities of being a woman and being queer.
As an educator, I am articulate and thoughtful in considering many topics especially ideas of gender, religion, family, and regional lifestyles in relation to the stories we tell and how those influence what people think.
