Dauna Needom

D.M. Needom is an award-winning author of the gritty realistic Better To Burn Out Series, Her career in the entertainment industry helped give her inspiration for her novels. Part of her book inspiration comes from hanging out with musicians and being in a band.

Living a fortuitous life, D. M. Needom appreciates the amazing opportunities she’s had. She’s been a bassist, television model, backup singer, and radio personality and worked on films like The Negotiator and My Best Friend’s Wedding. The excitement of being on set made her long to work on other projects. This eventually led her to sign on to a sitcom where actress and line producer were just two of her titles.

Besides working in the entertainment and Insurance industries, she has helped offer guidance with intuitive tarot readings and offered some clients her mediumship skills. She knows her intuition has helped guide her to meeting some amazing people.

Originally from New Orleans, she now calls the North West Burbs of Chicago her home. While her first marriage offered her the experience of being a stepmother, true love was elusive until she met her second husband. They spent sixteen wonderful years together before he passed after a long illness. Now she shares her daily world with her Cavalier, Cami, and Chloe Kitty.
